When the Skies open up
Leading light
Paintbrush from Heaven
What made Phuket so scenic at this time of the year, was the contrasting plays of sunshine and cloudy weather all the time. One moment you are in the middle of rainstorms and in an hour its beautiful tropical sun shining on you. In between these Power plays is when you get to see contrasting colors all across you. The dark blue see to the light green waters, the peachy shorlines against the dark green mountains.
The pictures here don't even come close to capturing the beauty of the place. Maybe i will be better equipped the next time i go here and maybe, i can get back with postcard pictures.

Perspective
Out of the Blue
Yellow Fellow
An Ocean to explore!
These were taken on the way to Phi-Phi islands. The coast of Phuket in Thailand is dotted with more than 200 'islands', with many note measring more than 4 KM in length. But all of them raise out of the sea lke Giants, each with unique shapes and sizes.
These small islets provide lots of opportunities to explore, either by Speed Boats or Kayaks.

Squirrel Man
Had gone to one of my fav places in bangalore. Apart from hunting the usual birds and bees, i stumbled upon a person who had very unique friends.
The uncle, pictured above, visits lalbagh as a daily routine. His daily ritual includes a walk around the park (esp the lake) and mediating sitting at the glass house. He also involves himself in one unique thing, feeding Squirrels. Everyday he sits at a particaular bench, and calls out to the squirrels. And one after the other at least half a dozen squirrels come out to feed upon the berad crumbs thrown out by him. In fact he tells me that the little creatures even sit on his lap sometimes and he feeds them the bread crumbs out of his hand!
This from one of the most shy and adorable creatures that i have ever encountered. And thanks to him i was able to get a few wonderful clicks :)
The Namaste Pic finally!
Is that for me?!
Looking for someone!

Butterflies!
Readyto fly!
Camera Shy
These photos were taken when i went to the Borivalli national park a.k.a the Sanjay Gandhi national park. There is a small garden towards the left of the main thoroughfare just near the main entrance. You can spot a variety of butterflies there, especially if you go in the morning.
Capturing butterflies (as in the lense) has always been a challenge for me. You cant go close to them and hence cant snap them as macros, and with them fluttering away so much you are bound to get noise at higher zooms. As you can see the pics i have taken above are quite grainy and one of them is a bit overexposed. The ISO levels were very low and the shutter speed too, so not sure how exactly to improve the shots.
I found a couple of great sites for butterfly photo-enthusiasts-

If you any pictures of these beautiful creatures, do share your pics. And will appreciate any comments on the pics too!

The Obvious!
I took this photo quite a while ago,on my way back from Sewri. It was a pretty disappointing photoshoot, one i went with all expectations but no good pics coming out of it. I found a bunch of welders at a workshop, going about their chores. But this one guy just stood out, because he was inconspicuous to all that was happening around him. The blaring noise, the shouting people; He didn't even notice me coming in and taking pictures, while the rest were at least curious to steal glances. It was as if the flame help all his attention.
And i dont know why but it somehow reminded me of how Anoop would be working if at all he were a welder! :)
